The historic villages along the River Frome are beautiful and rich with green spaces, wildlife and heritage. From Eastville Park to Frampton Cottrell you'll be walking alongside and through over 1000 years of heritage, along the Kings Forest trails and passing once mighty estates namely Stoke Park Estate and Oldbury Court Estate, both now owned by Bristol Council and free for us all to explore and enjoy.
Take advantage of the pubs along this wonderful trail which can be found in Stapleton Village, on Frenchay Common, in Hambrook, through Winterbourne and in Frampton Cottrell. Not forgetting Frome Valley Farm Shop for coffee and cake as well as an array of meats, cheeses, pickles, pies, beers and so much more at Frampton Cottrell as well.
Our Frome Valley is one of Bristol's real gems. Others include the Avon Valley Trail from Avonmouth to Bath and of course the Bristol to Bath Railway Path, to name a couple.
Facts: Did you know that King John owned Bristol Castle? Our history is amazing! |
