There are sporting opportunities throughout our area and in our neighbouring districts so we will try and locate all of these to maximise your choice here in Hillfields. If you are looking for variation then please look at social development organisations i.e. Scouting, Army and Air Cadets, TA, Faith Groups, Womens Groups, Youth Club etc.

There are lots of travel books and DVD's that you can use to find out about this sport, join our local library and borrow books free of charge and rent DVD's for £2.50 a week.

Lots of churches have Badminton Clubs open to members of the community, these use school facilities and church halls. Bristol isn't in the best location for body boarding but there are lots of clubs that you can join. If you want to watch body boarders and surfers locally then look for dates of The Severn Bore where some of the regions best surfers meet every month to catch the waves.

The areas closest to Hillfields for Body Boarding and Surfing are in South Wales, North Devon and Cornwall.

There are gyms all around Hillfields but we'll only mention about Bristol Brunel Academy - Alm Sport

Be careful when you consider joining a gym because you may be financially tied in to long term contracts. If you haven't been a member of a gym, please shop around and look for monthly membership options.
