Find out more about joining our local Liberal Democrat party

Liberal Democrats

Our members are ordinary people bringing about real change in Britain. If you agree with what we stand for, play your part by joining the Liberal Democrats.

Liberal Democrat members have a real say in how the Party is run. We're the most open and democratic party in Britain, and because we can't count on big business or trade union funds like the other parties, your subscription makes a real difference.

There aren't any local Liberal Democrat clubs to attend at present so please join the party via one of their websites.

Round Table

The members of Round Table come from all walks of life and join for a variety of reasons - perhaps as a gateway to relaxation and to enjoyment, or as a way of participating in the local community. It is, of course, an ideal way for those who have moved into a new area to find new friends of a similar age.

Membership of Round Table helps to create confidence and character. The individual learns quickly to mix and 'have-a-go' at helping to organise and run meetings and events. The organisation is run by and for Tablers as a hobby.

Scout Association

Scouts

The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for 400,000 young people aged 6-25. Internationally, we have over 28 million young people enjoying the benefits of Scouting across 216 countries. Personal development means promoting the physical, intellectual, social and spiritual well-being of the individual, helping them achieve their full potential. In Scouting, we believe that young people develop most when they are 'learning by doing,' when they are given responsibility, work in teams, take acceptable risks and think for themselves.

Whether you are an adult looking to help lead groups in local scouting; join the district team or if you are a parent looking for opportunities for your son and daughter, please visit the websites below for full details. There are several active groups in the Fishponds area and these can be found in the Brunel Scouts website brunelscouts.org.uk

Snuff Mills Action Group

Snuff Mills Action Group

Snuff Mills Action Group: blogsite: snuffmills.blogspot.com

Snuff Mills is a beautiful area of green space in Bristol.
We are an active group of local people working together to improve Snuff Mills, Wickham Glen and Oldbury Court for people and wildlife.

Help Snuff Mills Action Group

We desperately need some new people to help with the Group.  We especially need people who can help us organise events and activities, help with fundraising and campaigns to protect Laundry Field and Wickham Glen.  Without new people the amount that the Group can do will inevitably have to reduce.  So even if you just have the odd few hours to spare, please think about getting more involved.

Getting involved is fun and we make sure everyone is supported.  So please think about joining our core group of active people.  All you need to do is come to a meeting every three months and do what you can to help make things happen in between.  If you are interested, come to our next core group meeting. Please send me an email at the address below..

Many thanks
